About Braid

We are working on one of the most challenging, yet rewarding problems in fintech. Building mortgage lending into your product is incredible difficult. We are building infrastructure to make building an integrated mortgage experience easier.

Our mission is simple: unlock homeownership across the web

We have previously worked at companies like Better, Stripe, Palantir, LendingHome, Instabase, and Root. We're backed by Conversion Capital, QED, Fifth Wall, and execs and operators in the space.

The Role

We are looking for a senior full stack engineer who is driven by building high quality products.

You will work closely with our design, product, and mortgage teams to shape the product we give to our customers.

Some of the technical problems you would work on include:

  • Building customer facing APIs
  • Building embeddable, white labeled UI elements
  • Building an underwriting and pre-approval engine for loans
  • Deep integrations with final funding partners

Desired Skills

  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Production experience with web development. Preferably with React, TypeScript and Node
  • Experience building and scaling back end systems on cloud infrastructure
  • Care deeply about product experience and are driven to put great products in the hands of users
  • Willing to own projects and products end-to-end
  • Can work with our product and mortgage teams to translate mortgage requirements into the product
  • Excited about joining a small, high-growth team and tackle large open ended problems
  • Experience building and scaling APIs at Fintech companies (preferred)

Our Tech Stack

  • Front End: React + Redux + Typescript
  • Back End: Postgres + TypeScript + Node + NestJS
  • Infra: AWS - Fargate + ECS + Docker
